Poverty is a huge barrier to access to water and sanitation, and most of the world's poorest countries are in sub-Saharan Africa. Natural disasters, increased pollution, and a lack of resources are all driving forces of the water crisis in sub-Saharan Africa.

With a shortage of clean water, several hundred million people worldwide are affected daily. Years of conflicts, lack of finances, support, poor infrastructure, and a hostile climate have created a critical shortage of clean water.

Raindrops falling on the average size home could add up to approximately 120,000 gallons of water per year.

Every 2 minutes, a child under five dies from a preventable water-related disease.

By the year 2050, billions of people will live in areas that are water scarce.

Rainwater harvesting provides communities with clean water.

Without Rainwater Harvesting

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Rainwater harvesting reduces soil erosion, stormwater runoff, flooding, and surface water pollution with fertilizers, pesticides, metals, and other sediments. It is an excellent water source for landscape irrigation with no chemicals or dissolved salts and is free from all minerals.
